First curated at the end of 2017, the Gallery 2Sun is located at the base of the historic Tucson Warehouse and Transfer Building nestled behind the seductive nape of the agave goddess mural by Rock Martinez. The gallery shines as a hub in the city's middle corridor in-between various art museums.
The space is being utilized to give credence the dynamism of art that flows through the Southwest and to continue the vibrancy of Tucson as a place for the discerning.
Housed in a 103 year old iconic building, we are pleased to be a catalyst for the Tucson arts scene. The thrills come by inviting exciting artists with a local influence and curating exhibits to coincide with all that is vibrant. Additionally it is a venue for late 20th century estate art and local collectors are impressed with the caliber of inventory.
Our goal is to continue to establish Tucson's fine artists as noteworthy and perpetuate our lovely city's reputation for uniqueness.
The building is home to the gallery, a co-working office space and Benjamin Supply a showroom for distinctive plumbing fixtures. Monthly rentals of office and studio spaces are available as is special event use for groups.
Built in 1918 as Tucson's first fireproof building the 4-story was designed by Curlett & Sons (the architects who would later do Hotel Congress). It has a legacy of storing newcomers valuables right off of the train. We relish the thought that included some art!
